BUYER

Position Summary: Order materials and execute purchase orders as required under the supervision of the Purchasing Manager. Also responsible for tracking and expediting orders as required.

Essential Functions

  • Perform purchasing function in the absence of the Purchasing Manager.
  • Send Request for Quotes (RFQs), enter necessary data to generate purchase orders and order necessary materials as required.
  • Maintain Approved Supplier List, including annual supplier questionnaire and daily grading of each P.O. received and entered in the quality manual.
  • Responsible for maintaining purchasing data.
  • Complies with established policy, safety standards, and quality procedures to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction.
  • Performs additional projects and duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements 

Training and Experience:

  • High school degree or equivalent.
  • Three to five years’ experience in purchasing for manufacturing environment similar to machine shop preferred.

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Attention to detail.
  • Multi-tasking and project management.
  • Effective use of problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient computer skills, e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. Ability to create charts and graphs from raw data, not just data entry.

Physical Demands:  The employee is required to:

  • stand, walk, push, pull, reach overhead and bend to the floor
  • exert at a minimum 30 pounds of force occasionally
  • lift up to 30 pounds occasionally

Working Conditions:  Normal office environment and industrial worksite including but not limited to noise from operating machines, moving equipment or moving machine parts, objects that may have sharp edges or burrs, machine shop related chemicals that may require restricted handling and proper use of PPE.

 

QUALITY ASSURANCE MANAGER

Position Summary: Manage the Quality Assurance Department and the quality system procedures and manual.  Enforce company policies while working with all department managers to ensure a quality product is delivered on time to the customer.  Help report on the effectiveness of the Quality Management System to upper management.

Essential Functions

Direct supervision and evaluation of Quality Assurance Department personnel.

Work with Human Resources on personnel and training issues.

Participate in contract and contract revision reviews.

Ensure compliance to all customer requirements prior to shipment of product.

Interact with customers on questions of requirements and noncompliance matters.

Review for approval Supplier selection by Purchasing Department.

Review for approval Purchase Orders released to Suppliers.

Audit the Supplier’s Quality Management System as required.

Work with all department managers and inspectors to ensure inspections are carried out per the quality plan.

Maintain Corrective and Preventive Action System.

Report to upper management on the Corrective and Preventive Action System during scheduled management reviews of the Quality Management System.

Work with Customer, Production Control Department and Project Engineer in scheduling and Supervising Customer and/or Government Source Inspections.

Maintain calibration manual and system.

Manage quality records system for the department.

Shares top management responsibilities and attends management review of Quality Management System.

Enforce Company policies, safety standards, and quality procedures.

Complies with established policy, safety standards, and quality procedures to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction.

Minimum Requirements

Training and Experience:

  • High school degree or equivalent.
  • Minimum ten years working in quality assurance field.
  • Aerospace background preferred.

Physical Demands:  The employee is required to:

  • stand, walk, push, reach overhead, bend to the floor, and long periods of sitting
  • exert up to 30 pounds of force occasionally, and/or
  • lift up to 30 pounds occasionally

Working Conditions:  Primarily works in a normal office environment; however, employee is subject to an industrial worksite and machinery associated with such an environment.

Quality Inspector   (NIGHT SHIFT)                                                           

Job Description:

  • Inspect, test machined parts, fixtures, and tools for conformance to specifications such as dimensions, tolerance, and hardness
  • Able to apply knowledge of shop mathematics
  • Applies knowledge of testing procedures using precision measuring instruments
  • Applies knowledge of testing equipment, hand tools, and programs
  • Uses a CMM machine
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Detail oriented
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Proficient reading and understanding part prints, geometric, dimensions, and tolerances
  • Minimum 5 years CMM experience
  • Aerospace experience preferred

 

CNC Grinding Machinist                                                                  

Job Description:

  • Setup and operate CNC grinding machines
  • Monitor and control the machine operation to produce a quality part
  • Read and understand part prints, job instructions, and work instructions
  • Understands feed rates, grinding speeds, grinding wheel size, shape, and grade
  • Use gages and calipers to manually check part dimensions and tolerances

Minimum Requirements:

  • Proficient reading and understanding part prints, geometric dimensions, and tolerances
  • Detail oriented
  • Aerospace experience preferred
  • High School Diploma or equivalent

CNC Machinist                                                                       

Job Description:

  • Setup and operate single or multi-spindle CNC machines
  • Monitor and control the machine operation to produce a quality part
  • Read and understand part prints, job instructions, and work instructions
  • Understand tooling adjustments, cutting speeds, cut depth, and tooling required
  • Use gages and calipers to manually check part dimension and tolerance

Minimum Requirements:

  • Proficient reading and understanding part prints, geometric dimensions, and tolerances
  • Detail oriented
  • Aerospace experience preferred
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
