Quality Associate                                                                   

Assist Quality Manager and Quality Coordinator by performing a variety of tasks which include, but are not limited to, clerical support functions of a confidential nature, assisting with Corrective Action Requests (CAR) and Continuous Improvements (CI) functions, maintaining quality job files. Typically generates reports using computer skills and distributes those reports to various users in the organization or among customers and suppliers.

Essential Functions

  • Assist the Quality Coordinator with all related Corrective Action Requests (CAR), Continuous Improvements (CI) functions, CAR/Management Review Metrics, Hold Tag Database and Customer Scorecards.
  • Prepare Data Package submittals and all related functions pertaining to customer PO requirements and shipping of customer product.
  • Provide support during customer source inspection/audits and assist during surveillance and re-certification AS9100 audits. Actively participate in yearly internal quality audits.
  • Maintain stock of office supplies, hold tags, controlled tags. Schedule required service for copier/scanner as needed.
  • Maintain serialization records as required per procedure.
  • Monitor and maintain shelf-life items as required per procedure.
  • Complies with established policy, safety standards, and quality procedures to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction.
  • Assist with coaching and training of Quality staff as required.
  • Performs additional projects and duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

Training and Experience:

  • High school degree or equivalent.
  • Associates degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school Three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Attention to detail.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Quality Management Systems and auditing techniques.
  • Experience implementing Continuous Improvement and Problem-Solving Methodologies.
  • Multi-tasking and project management.
  • Effective use of problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent computer skills, e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. Ability to create charts and graphs from raw data, not just data entry.

 

Physical Demands:  The employee is required to:

  • stand, walk, push, pull, reach overhead and bend to the floor
  • exert at a minimum 30 pounds of force occasionally
  • lift up to 30 pounds occasionally

Working Conditions:  Normal office environment and industrial worksite including but not limited to noise from operating machines, moving equipment or moving machine parts, objects that may have sharp edges or burrs, machine shop related chemicals that may require restricted handling and proper use of PPE

CNC Grinding Machinist                                                                  

Job Description:

  • Setup and operate CNC grinding machines
  • Monitor and control the machine operation to produce a quality part
  • Read and understand part prints, job instructions, and work instructions
  • Understands feed rates, grinding speeds, grinding wheel size, shape, and grade
  • Use gages and calipers to manually check part dimensions and tolerances

Minimum Requirements:

  • Proficient reading and understanding part prints, geometric dimensions, and tolerances
  • Detail oriented
  • Aerospace experience preferred
  • High School Diploma or equivalent

CNC Machinist                                                                       

Job Description:

  • Setup and operate single or multi-spindle CNC machines
  • Monitor and control the machine operation to produce a quality part
  • Read and understand part prints, job instructions, and work instructions
  • Understand tooling adjustments, cutting speeds, cut depth, and tooling required
  • Use gages and calipers to manually check part dimension and tolerance

Minimum Requirements:

  • Proficient reading and understanding part prints, geometric dimensions, and tolerances
  • Detail oriented
  • Aerospace experience preferred
  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Production Planner                                                             

Job Description:

  • Studies sequence of operations to be performed and flow of materials based on estimate submitted to customer.
  • Evaluates and recommends additional or alternate methods or equipment to meet requirements of order.
  • Plans and coordinates each work sequence and operation to obtain an efficient workflow for fabrication, assembly, installation and other manufacturing processes.
  • Responsible for making sure data is entered correctly into the computer system.
  • Communicates all available information to the Production Scheduler and Production Control Coordinator.
  • May prepare purchase requisitions to obtain materials, tools and equipment.
  • May assist Estimator/Project Engineers in quoting when necessary.
  • May assist with tasks in Production Control and Job Entry as needed
  • Complies with established policy, safety standards and quality procedures to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Preferred at least 10 years of precision machining experience
  • College Degree or four years of trade school or equivalent experience
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Proficient reading and understanding part prints, geometric, dimensions and tolerances
  • Detail oriented
  • High organizational skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Aerospace experience preferred

Quality Inspector                                                                  

Job Description:

  • Inspect, test machined parts, fixtures, and tools for conformance to specifications such as dimensions, tolerance, and hardness
  • Able to apply knowledge of shop mathematics
  • Applies knowledge of testing procedures using precision measuring instruments
  • Applies knowledge of testing equipment, hand tools, and programs
  • Uses a CMM machine
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Detail oriented
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Proficient reading and understanding part prints, geometric, dimensions, and tolerances
  • Minimum 5 years CMM experience
  • Aerospace experience preferred
